I have seen Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer a few times and this was not one of his best performances. I am not a Led Zepplin fan, so when he did a few of their songs, I was disappointed. If I'm paying to see Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer, I expect to hear his own songs, not someone else's. The majority of the audience at this concert seemed more interested in treating it like a bar hangout rather than a music performance. Many were chatting, using their phones, and not focusing on the music. This behavior was unusual compared to other venues I've been to. We purchased seats in row B assuming we would have a clear view, but it turned out to be obstructed by people standing and socializing in front of us. The lack of aisle clearance by the security staff contributed to this issue. I would consider attending Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer again, but not at Northerly Island.
Flogging Molly Milwaukee
The Rave/Eagles club was a good place to see Flogging Molly although I shouldn't have spent the extra money on Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer balcony tickets. Great was Flogging Molly.

I prefer him just as he is, sitting at the piano playing all of his incredible songs that the audience has grown up with and listened to for so many years. It was an amazing evening to be outdoors and we were on the lawn at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Last time was when he performed a year ago in Beaumont, Texas. I was there with my husband and two of my children. No bugs, just incredible music. I've seen Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer maybe 10 times. I've seen him dressed as a Rocket Man and as a Duck.

"Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer's music is amazing. The band was great. I have all of her albums, but had never seen her live in concert. She performed a nice compilation of new songs and old favorites. Despite being hit with a major allergy cold just days before, I attended the show and it was definitely worth it. She has a great spirit and I loved her energy. I appreciated the set and lighting design. The new CD is great, BUY IT!!! I frequently go to concerts, and usually the longest a headliner will do is an hour and a half. This year, however, she was coming to town on my birthday and I could not miss her. Not to mention she only took a five-minute break before the encore. She said thank you and exited the stage. They finished the song and exited. And, of course, Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer did not disappoint. I was also appreciative of the 2-hour set! There have been many opportunities for me to see her since I live in Houston and she regularly plays the rodeo. And a couple minutes later they were back. The audience cheered. For different reasons, I didn't make it out. But, for different reasons, I didn't make it out. Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer ROCKS!!!"
Everyone had a cold!!! Still a good concert
Nice to see them finally get the airplay they deserve and to see them in an arena. Their set and displays are pretty weird and funky. This was an awesome concert. Both Caleb and the lead singer for the warmup act said they had colds. For Glasvegas, that meant "I can't sing a fooking note" to quote lead singer James Allan. They kept the place rocking all night. It didn't seem to make a difference for Caleb Followill, although his voice is pretty raspy normally. Unfortunately for Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer, the cold meant cutting "Black Thumbnail" from the usual 4 song encore. Beats watching the lead singer's head 10 feet tall all night. I've been listening to Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer since their first album. He still made a valiant effort and did respectable job on their closer "Daddy's Gone". Bummer.
